HOW DO I GET TO THE SALON?

Mood is a mini suite located on the first floor of a larger salon space called Shine on 4ist. There is ample free parking around the whole building. If you're not immediately greeted by someone, make yourself comfortable and send me a text, I'll be out shortly! If you don't already have my number, it's located at the bottom of your confirmation email when you book an appointment.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EACH SERVICE?

Each service has timing built in to include a haircut, relaxing head massage, toner when necessary and blow dry/style. I have add-ons available for hair and scalp treatments.
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT TAKE?

When you view services through my booking page on Vagaro, the timing will be listed. I have options ranging from 2-4 1/2 hours, so if you're short on time but in need of a refresh, there are less time consuming options available for in between larger color sessions.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENT?

While 1 do my best to protect your clothing, hair color can be messy! I don't recommend wearing anything that's special to you. Anything with a high neck, collar or hood can also pose a challenge. I recommend bringing a t-shirt to change into, or we have robes available as well.
IS THERE WIFI AVAILABLE?

Yes! My space is private and you are totally welcome to "work from home" while you're getting your hair done. I promise it's not rude to work while I'm doing your hair.


DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?

Bring whatever you'd like! I have complimentary drinks and snacks available. I'l happily make you a delicious coffee or tea. There's also People's Pharmacy next door, they have lots of food and drink options as well! If you'll be in for a few hours, you're welcome to bring a book or whatever other form of entertainment sounds ideal to you. For your comfort I have a small space heater if you get cold, or can crack the window if it's getting stuffy.
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO CONTACT YOU

As I am a one woman show, I'm often not able to answer phone calls. My preferred communication is through Email or Text. Please allow up to 24 hours for a response
- I do my best to get back to everyone as soon as possible.
If you're emailing or texting on a day that I'm not open, it may take a little longer to hear back from me.
WHAT IF I'M LATE?

Out of respect for other guests, services for clients arriving more than is minutes late will need to be rescheduled. Please reach out if you are running behind as sometimes I can still accommodate services by altering them to fit with the available time left.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

I kindly ask that any changes or cancellations are made no later than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. This allows me the appropriate amount of time to contact those on my waitist and get something else booked. Any guest who cancels with less than 24 hour notice, or who no call/no show will be required to leave a deposit to reserve a future spot. Second offenders will be charged 50% of your scheduled service.
WHAT IF I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO BOOK?

Not a problem! I offer complimentary consultations. This is a time for us to sit down together and discuss your hair goals, your budget, and make a game plan that's tailored to you. While all of my services begin with a chat, scheduling a consultation prior will allow us to figure out the perfect timing so nothing gets booked incorrectly, and so you know the cost and time allotted up front. I prefer to do consultations in person, however I am open to digital ones upon request.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! I'm happy to offer a Buy Now Pay Later plan through Vagaro which breaks it down into 4 interest free payments paid every two weeks. This does require a little extra time to set up for first time users, so please notify me beforehand if you'd like to use pay later.
DO YOU OFFER SILENT APPOINTMENTS?

Yes! When booking an appointment you have the option to enter any special requests, just add in there that you would prefer a silent appointment. After our initial consultation, I'll leave you to relax.

WHAT KIND OF PRODUCT
DO YOU USE?

I'm committed to maintaining a clean salon and the product I use reflects that. I use color from Areté and styling products from Areté, Oway, and Cult + King. Each of these brands are low toxic, use sustainable packaging and ingredient sourcing, and are some of the most allergen friendly options out there.
DO YOU SELL RETAIL?

I happily carry a small selection of my favorite products in the salon. I also offer a refill program on select shampoos and masks from Oway. Bring in your empty, clean bottle to refill and receive 15% off! Doing this saves you some money, but is also a great way to keep plastic out of our landfills and ocean, who doesn't love that?
WHAT IF I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH THE OUTCOME?

I'm not a perfect human, things happen! I also never want you to feel bad about speaking up about your hair. My job is to make you feel great! In the case I have not met your expectations, I'd love to invite you back within 7 days of your service for a complimentary adjustment. Complimentary services are not intended for change of mind or direction.
